Interesting XVIII Century Indo-Persian Tulwar-Pulouar. Heavy sharp, curved 32 1/2 inches blade with long central fuller, back edge fuller interrupted by gold inlaid scrolls and with panels engraved and gold inlaid with scrollwork and inscriptions. Steel hilt comprising long pierced languets, down curving quillons with pierced animal head finials; quillon block overlaid on either side with single silver blossom, banded grip. Large pommel in form of lotus pod,the top fitted with ring. Very good plus condition, showing salted patches of light pitting mostly on the hilt.
