Scarce Australian Colonial Police issue Alexander Henry Carbine - 1st Model. Caliber: .450, barrel length: 20",standard front ant rear sights. Action marked: "BA CO LD 1880" and on the obverse: "HENRYS PATENT". Right side of barrel/receiver marked "N.S.W. POLICE" and "441" on the left. There are also multiple arsenal markings on the left side of barrel. Lock plate marked with date: "1880". Forend stamped: "N.S.W. POLICE" on both sides.
Condition: great profiles and clear markings. Dark grey patina to barrel, receiver and fittings. Bruising around the knox form and breech. Butt with minor bruises and scratches and a couple of inlets around the lock surround and the heel of the lock. Very good barrel, grey but with strong rifling. Mechanically very good and everything works great. All complete except rear butt swivel. Overall very good condition
