Scarce Australian Colonial Police issue Alexander Henry Carbine - 2nd Model. Caliber: .450, barrel length: 20",standard front ant rear sights. Action marked: "BA CO LD 1880" and on the obverse: "HENRYS PATENT". Right side of barrel/receiver marked "N.S.W. POLICE" and "539" on the left. There are also multiple arsenal markings on the left side of barrel. Lock plate marked with date: "1880".
Condition: great profiles and clear markings. Soft silver grey patina to all metal. Very good, original stock and forend with minor bruises and scratches. All complete with rear swivel and swivel ring to barrel. Very good barrel, grey but with strong rifling. Mechanically very good and everything works great. Overall very good or better condition.
