Beautiful pre-WWII Polish Officer's Sword Wz.21 (Model 1921). This is a higher, more expensive grade sword with blade and scabbard nickel plated. Triple fullered blade engraved on one side with "Crowned Polish Eagle", "Honor i Ojczyzna" (Honor and Fatherland) and panoply of oak leaves. The other side is plane. Brass hilt and brown leather covered grip with twisted wire. Beautiful owner's "KJ" silver initials attached to the right side of the grip. There is a maker/reseller name stamped on ricasso: "L. CENZOR KRAKOW" (Lazarz Cenzor  Wyrob i Sprzedaz Wyrobow Wojskowych i Urzedniczych, Krakow - Lazarz Cenzor  Manufacturing and Sale of Military and Official Accessories). Steel, nickel plated scabbard with two rings and nice liner inside for blade protection. The sword has all indications of being manufactured by "A. Mann" and supplied without signature. The Cenzor company did some upgrades and stamped with company name on ricasso before sale.
Condition: excellent. Shiny blade without rust or pitting; great hilt with only few small dings; great grip with intact leather, solid wire and beautiful owner initials. Great scabbard with all nickel remaining and only few nail head size spots of corrosion. There is some corrosion on the throat of the scabbard.
Overall wonderful sword - the Wz.21 best I had.   Ref. "Polska biala bron i je producenci" by Leszek Zachuta, p.133- 138, 195 - 196
