Very interesting wz.A 22.cal. rifle manufactured in Poland before WWII. This is a single shot rifle designed for .22 long ammunition. Rifle has unic Polish patent safty and rear site.Left side of the barrel is marked: "P.W.U. Fabryka Karabinow Warszawa" (Rifle Factory Warsaw) and serial number on receiver.Right site of the barrel marked: "K.B.K.S. WZ.A Patent nr. 72A. KAL. 22 Long-Rifle". This is a delux edition with polished and checkerred walnut stock and black buttplate marked: "FB".Right side of the stock has brass plat which reads: "Dar pracownikow Ubespieczalni Spolecznej w Czestochowie" (Gift from workers of Social Insurance in Czestochowa". Barrel is: 630 mm, overall: 1090 mm. The rifle has been modified by adding Lyman rear peep sight and round hooded front sight. Original Polish iron sights remain. Condition: Fine Plus - almost all bluin remains, stock with some scratches and dents, but no cracks or chips. Excellent barrel with strng and shiny grooves.
