Gasser six shot pinfire revolver in 11 mm caliber with original holster. Barrel assembly marked on the left side with Imperial Eagle and "L. Gasser Wien". Also there is a serial number present on the frame below. Double action, octahedral barrel with barrel lug screwed onto the cylinder axis pin. The lower end of the barrel lug attached to the frame with a screw. This is basically a Lefaucheux design from 1860's and 1870's made by different manufacturers in different countries. This one was made in Austria and it was a standard issue sidearm for Austro-Hungarian Border and Custom Officers. Condition: Fine. About 50% of fire bluing remaining, same patina but no rust or pitting. Excellent grips with no chips or missing wood. Action works perfectly, excellent strong and shiny barrel. There is a serial number on the frame but other parts including inside grips marked with number "23". Holster is rather low fair condition, has some cracks and stitches coming apart in couple of places. Tool pocket separated - see photos. It would need some restoration work to be presentable again.
There is a lot of Belgian made pinfires on the market but Austrian Military one is a rarity.
Note: Hitler's father was an Austrian Custom Officer, he could have used one of those in his early service.
