Wz.1944 was a standard flaregun of Polish People Army (LWP) after the World War Two. The flareguns were manufactured by Radom arsenal in 1950-s/1960-s,   Caliber: 26 mm. This particular flaregun is an early model and it was manufactured by Radom in 1951, as indicated by a date and a Warsaw Pact code on the barrel, "11" (in a circle). Polish markings and proofs are stamped on major parts of the flaregun. This is basically a Polish manufactured variant of Soviet M.1944 flaregun. Steel frame and barrel. Black plastic grips. Barrel length: 5.75 inch. Complete with a lanyard loop. This is a variation of wz.1944 with a safety lever on the left side of the frame. CONDITION: Excellent. The bore is in mint condition. 98% of original dark blue finish. Matching serial numbers (the numbers are stamped on the frame and barrel only). All the markings and numbers are clearly visible on the metal. All the internal parts of the flaregun are in excellent condition, with no visible wear. Very strong action. The grips are in like new condition. Some original Polish military cosmoline is still on the flaregun. As issued military configuration. Serial# D7468. (Ref.
