DESCRIPTION: Very nice Arendt/Lefaucheux pinfire revolver. Caliber: 11 mm pinfire. The Arendt pinfire revolvers are of the highest quality! Large size, Belgian style frame. Single and double action. Strong, closed top design with a cylinder bridge (attached by three screws to the frame). Octagonal barrel with a full length rib and fixed front sights. Francotte-type half-cock spring is fitted to the right side of the frame, just below the cylinder. Very nice hardwood grips. Six-chamber cylinder. The extractor rod is fitted to the lower part of the barrel. The design also features an Arendt patent protective ring for pins. Complete with a lanyard ring. The right side of the frame displays following markings, "Arendt Brevete", "7" and "Crown over N". The latter mark is also stamped on the cylinder, along with a Liege proof. The front part of the cylinder displays following markings, "Crown over D". Very high quality of machining and metal finish! The revolver is in all original condition. Barrel length: 156 mm. Maurice Arendt manufactured firearms in Liege, Belgium from 1857 to 1889. He had 10 revolver's patents. His major achievement was a modification and perfecting of the Lefaucheux pinfire revolver. CONDITION: Low excellent. The revolver has about 70-75% of its original finish still present on metal. Most of the finish wear is on the grip and on the trigger guard. Some scattered patina and/or peppering. Occasional spots of roughness. Bore is in excellent condition with strong rifling. The cylinder's chambers are in excellent condition as well. Strong action. All the markings and numbers are clearly visible on metal. All the internal parts of the revolver are in fine condition, with no visible wear.
