DESCRIPTION: Scarce large frame Belgian Levaux double action self-extracting revolver with Argentinian retailer's address. Caliber: 11 mm French Ordinance Revolver M.1873 (Army). Gold inlaid on the barrel. Left/upper side of the barrel displays following markings, "Buenos Aires". Right/upper side of the barrel displays following markings, "Ferran y Turdera". Liege proof on the cylinder. Top break design. Non-fluted cylinder. 5.5 inch long octagonal barrel. Nice dark wood (ebony?) grips with diamond checkering. The revolver is lightly engraved (frame, cylinder, bridge, trigger guard, grip, etc). CONDITION: Fine. 65% of gray patina on the metal. The balance is in white. All the markings on the metal are clearly visible. Bore is in good condition. Cylinder chambers are in fine condition. Wooden grips with diamond checkering are in very good condition with some light wear and some light handling marks. Very strong action. Complete with lanyard ring.
