This is the first Polish Helmet designed and manufactured in Poland after the end of WWII. Helmet shell was based on Russian Wz.40 helmet, liner and chin strap was based on Italian Wz. 33 helmet. Helmet was issued to Polish troops as Wz. 50 model. Helmet was painted in smooth semi-matt three colors: khaki - for the Army, grey-blue for Air Force, Navy and the Marines, white - for Military Police (WSW). Until 1961 front of the helmet displayed White Polish Eagle painted with matt white paint, later issues had no markings at all. Helmet marked on inside liner with couple of acceptance stamps and date: June 12 - 1959. Condition: Near Excellent No dents or scratches on the outside, few paint chips on the inside rim. Liner and chinstrap like new. Great helmet to any collection.
